Afternoon with the Nichols'

I spent Saterday afternoon with Krista and the kids. We had a great time catching up, and I adore playing with Roman, Levi and Miriam. For those of you who don't know The Nichols', they adopted Roman in 2004, from Russia, and Levi & Miriam in 2005, from Ethiopia.

Roman: 4 yrs

Miriam: 1 yr

Levi: 2 yrs

Ok girls, I'm sure you've all had the boyfriend (at one time or another) that had his favorite hat. The hat that was well loved and a little smelly, but he looked gorgeous in it. The hat that when you wore it, you felt totally hot and bad to the bone, and you knew everyone else knew who's hat it was. Unfortunately I haven't ever been able to brake a hat in like my boyfriends in the past. No matter how much I wear it, it always looks like a "girls hat." Today while browsing the isles of Walmart, I stumbled upon the men's section and a large selection of hats. Hats that look just the way I want them to...without stealing them from Mr. Gorgeous. They were all very cool, and then I saw this one....the symbol of all that's good in this world. ROOT BEER! How could I not snatch it from the rack? It was the last of its kind, and now has a very happy home.
