First day of choir
My brother tried to take a picture of me on stage with the choir, but it didn't turn out. So he captured the moment with a little video clip after the service. =)

Aussie cuties!
It has already been two years since my last trip down under. Time really does fly. Bonnie and Ben are doing great, they're as spunky as ever (as you can see). They are both doing full time ministry with the young adults in their church, and love it! I miss her, but I'm so happy to know that she's being taken care of by her darling husband, Benny.
Just like yesterday...
Wasn't it just yesterday that we were kids, and he was pulling my hair, or teasing me? This is my brother's best friend, since childhood, Thad. He and his family lived across the street from us when we were kids, and my brother and he did everything together.
He took me under his wing my first year of high school. He drove me to and from school, as my brother had already graduated the year before. Thad and I have always had a very special friendship, that time apart and distance can't shake. Seeing him the other day (for just a few short hours of catching up) was just like I had seen him last week.
Thad is Special Forces in the Air Force and has been serving our country for about 8 years. He recently came home from a 6 month rotation in Iraq. I'm glad to see him home safe! He told us that he was in a very dangerous position over there, and put his life at risk every day (even had a price on his head). He and his team accomplished a lot while he was there (top secret stuff) and I'm very proud of him!

Sing for joy!
Since I started attending Salem Evangelical in the Fall of '06, I've been in love with our choir. I have felt the Lord tugging at me to join. I wasn't budging...thought I was too busy, or something. About 3 weeks ago, it was almost as though He took me by the shoulders and said "Hello....I've been trying to reach you about this choir matter..." During morning anouncements, Pastor Randy said that August was open enrollment for the choir. The only time durring the year that new members can join. That was all I needed to hear, and I'm so overjoyed at being part of this amazing group! I'll be singing in both services on Sunday morning, and will also be singing in the Christmas program. You locals should come by and see/hear me soon!
